Internet Banking Security Guidelines

As internet banking usage continues to grow, so do the associated security risks. To help protect your personal and financial information, we recommend following these important security practices:

  • Create a strong password for the application using at least 8 characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters (e.g., ! % & ( ) ^).

  • Always create or change your username and password yourself. Never ask others to do it on your behalf.

  • Do not allow your web browser to save your login credentials.

  • Avoid using easily identifiable personal information—such as your name, date of birth, or phone number—as your password.

  • Do not reuse the same password across multiple accounts or devices. If one password is compromised, your other accounts may also be at risk.

  • Never share your username, password, or account number with anyone.

  • Avoid writing your password on paper or storing it in plain text on your phone or other devices.

  • Change your password regularly, preferably every six months.

  • Only access the application through the official website: https://yesunshijir.mn.

  • When using a web browser, ensure the website address begins with https://, indicating that it is protected by an SSL security certificate.

  • Avoid logging into your internet banking account from public computers or unsecured Wi-Fi networks, such as those in internet cafés or public facilities. If you must use one, always remember to log out after your session.

  • Before confirming any transaction, carefully verify the recipient's name, account number, and all other payment details.

Why Is Jailbreaking or Rooting Your Device Risky?

Jailbreaking refers to removing software restrictions on Apple (iOS) devices such as iPhones and iPads, while Rooting provides the same unrestricted access on Android devices. Although they apply to different operating systems, both processes serve the same purpose—granting users full administrative control over their devices.

By default, official applications downloaded from the App Store or Google Play operate within a secure environment with limited permissions designed to protect users. Jailbreaking or Rooting removes these built-in security restrictions, allowing the installation of unauthorized third-party applications and enabling system modifications that are not approved by the device manufacturer.

While this provides greater control over the device, it also significantly increases security risks and places greater responsibility on the user.

Risks of Jailbreaking or Rooting

Many applications—including banking apps—consider Jailbroken or Rooted devices to be insecure. As a result, they may refuse to run on devices where the manufacturer's built-in security protections have been compromised.

Once a device has been Jailbroken or Rooted, it no longer benefits from the manufacturer's secure operating environment. This exposes the device to malware and other cyber threats that can:

  • Access and transmit files without your permission.

  • Remotely activate your device's camera or microphone.

  • Monitor or record phone calls.

  • Gain unauthorized access to your personal and financial information.

Additionally, applications developed specifically for Jailbroken or Rooted devices are often created by independent developers or small communities. These applications may contain insecure code, security vulnerabilities, or insufficient protection against cyberattacks.

The modifications made during the Jailbreaking or Rooting process can also create additional security loopholes, making your device more vulnerable to hackers and, in some cases, allowing unauthorized remote access.

For your safety and the protection of your personal information, we strongly recommend using your smartphone and other devices without Jailbreaking or Rooting them.
